Allah Says In The Qur'an

We believe that eternity is for Allah. Allah says in the Qur’an: (Every soul shall taste
death) Surah Al-Anbiya’- Verse 35.

1. If the deceased passes away at the hospital, ask the hospital to call Fern Creek Funeral home at 502-499-1361 to pick up the body.


2. For burial arrangement call Br. Ammar Yahfoufi, Green Haven Islamic Cemetery operation manager to check the availability of the grave digger, mark the grave site and agree on the possible burial time@ at 502-751-6333. A close family member’s ID and a preliminary death certificate required.


3. Washing and shrouding of the deceased can be arranged by the family of the
deceased. In case the family needs help in washing the deceased, the Louisville
Muslim Community can help.

4. Janazah prayer: If the family chooses to have the prayer at GLIC, call Br.
Mustafa, Br. Amin or Br. Zakariya to announce at the masjid so that more
Muslims can attend the prayer.


5. The approximate cost of the burial now:
For adults: Is around US$ 2700 (Can cost around $300 in case of autopsy to
repair the body)
For Infants- Only grave $300 plus the cost of the funeral home if used which
maybe around $300 to $600.
